787 Dreamliner
The Body
The 787 Dreamliner has a revolutionary body design. First of all, the aircraft was designed to replace Boeing's 767. The Dreamliner has windows 1.3 times bigger. The windows are so big, you can see outside the aircraft no matter where you are, even if your sitting in the middle section. Also, you'll get a much more smooth and quiet ride because of the new sound insulation. The structure on the 787 is made out of the world's strongest yet lightest metal used for aircraft. This new material is called carbon fiber, which is what most of the airplane is made out of. The cabin is much more spacious, allowing more head and legroom! The overhead bins are much much bigger, so you won't have to worry about not having room to put your carry-on(s). There is beautiful dynamic LED lighting which the colors change depending on the timezone the aircraft is in. The lights are turned on to make you ready and awake before takeoff/landing. Instead of window shades, there are window dimmers. This blocks the light, but you can still see outside. The air conditioner is much quieter. To reduce vibration, there is advanced insulation in the sidewalls and ceilings. The aircraft is built in bigger sections, making the fuselage stronger. The cabin altitude is 6000 feet, rather than the standard 8000 feet, so you'll feel better when you walk off the aircraft. The 787 flies 4000 feet higher at 40 000 feet, so a lower cabin altitude is incredible! All materials used to build this aircraft are 100% recyclable. With thousands of new features to make this aircraft amazing, the 787 Dreamliner will truly change the future of flight! The Dreamliner. The airplane of your dreams.
